Fashions for Your Workout , All Year Round !

that the athlete in you , will never be deprived !

the perfect combination of t -shirt under a zip up hoodie that goes with the weather , so that you do not sweat. In the winter it is beneficial to wear a windbreaker over your workout clothes so that if you did break a sweat , the cold wind will not hit you . There's nothing worse than cold air on wet skin ! This was a brief overview , which will be discussed in depth  via the next upcoming post " Fashions for your workout all year round PART TWO !"

  We  have spoken about FUNCTIONALITY and now we will discuss STYLES for working out ! Today we can attain any color, style or cut , since people have been working out for many decades now ! Does anyone recall Olivia Newton John's song "Let's Get Physical"? There was a bit of cute fashion in the video, but that is not even the tip of the iceberg! There are workout clothes in solids, prints, short sleeved , long sleeved ,etc. !  Some of you like to workout in typical "Flashdance " style gear , while others prefer a more up to date look! The cut varies to fit every body shape ; in fact, so many styles of workout clothes exist that one never has to wear anything but exercise gear and they will still always have a new look going for themselves!   
      Workout styles vary according to the sport you are practicing ! Someone who gets their workout by playing
tennis, will be dressed quite differently from one who is horseback riding or kayaking ! Hiking gear is another story entirely and you need special clothes for hang-gliding or parachuting ! Swimming, basketball, baseball, etc...The focus of this blog is to cover ALL sports fashion , of course including skiing/snowboarding gear , skating clothes, etc. All these fashions and more will be covered in parts to and three of this blog! So stay tuned for more fun and functional ideas for all your sports and workout activities!


Fashion in Nature ...Can it Be Done ?

Fashion in nature certainly can be achieved . It would take a few modifications or "alterations" if you will...lol. Before attempting to do something useful and constructive for ourselves and the earth , we must first CEASE from any destructive actions ; and we can begin by halting productions of unnatural , unhealthy garment manufacturing and simply REPLACING the materials of said factory , with all natural materials that do NOT involve the slaughtering of innocent animals. This can not and should not be forced on factory and product owners and developers, but rather discussed and explained in a peaceful and businesslike manner . Respect for eachother  is essential in all our dealings or else it would defeat the purpose ! Riots, anger and upheaval , never accomplishes anything  good or permanent. 






As a fashion stylist and naturalist , I see the world and nature  as my design  palette. Call me the "Pocahantes of Fashion " if you will !  We can learn a lot about what clothing matches well, by observing and getting ideas from how G-d set up the colors of sky , next to water ( light blue and dark blue)  and earth next to trees

Getting the World Fit and Healthy :  

Imagine the world as ONE BODY .  A few cells go wrong in the body and if this is not immediately tended to , it can spread and become a serious illness. Today , the world is seriously ill . Everything begins with a thought. Someone had a greedy, corrupt or immoral thought and then ACTED on it. Sure there were groups along the way who
tried to  " save the whales" or the baby seals , and the ozone layer , or the almost extinct , exotic animals . Unfortunately , it was not enough , maybe because they did not ask a higher power for help ;  meanwhile ,  the corrupt of our world , did not fear a higher power, so they continued along with their corruption and greed. It is a pity to see some people destroy themselves due to their own incapability to stop and take note of their self serving or arrogant ways .

Why is it , that one human being will see a flower and enjoy how it looks , care for it , and maybe even set up a protective gate around it , in order to keep it alive as long as possible ; but another human being , made of the very same flesh and blood , will pick the flower for his own uses ( for the vase on his breakfast table or to impress his girl etc. ) or stomp on it and build something in it's place with no thought at all for the value of that flower ( or tree...or even person). The difference in these two people can be A) ignorance B) greed C) a total lack of caring having been replaced by cruelty  or D) arrogance ( he
thinks he is right in all that he does . ) 



Greed comes from a feeling of deprivation . Perhaps it may be seen as ambition at first , however the results of the ambitious person's endeavors are the "tell" of whether it was ambition or deprivation feelings all along. 

HOW TO HEAL GREED :  Negative emotions , such as greed , is an illness just as much as cancer ; and it proceeds to destroy the fabric of life , if followed up by greedy actions.  Keep in mind , that no one can force a healing on a greedy person. This is written for the greedy person , who acknowledges his own condition and WANTS to heal . As we have said before , it stems from a feeling of deprivation and dissatisfaction with what he already has. It may also start as an urge to prove oneself and end up as a habitual need for more and more money or accomplishments.

NOW THAT WE HAVE EXPLAINED WHAT IT IS ; we can approach how to heal it. A greedy person who wants to change his ways ,  needs regular daily focus, ( at least  ten minutes , twice daily) on all the good things he has in life already, and this should include people that he loves, and not only material things. He/she can start with this exercise, and after two weeks of practicing it, the

next step will be to search his own motives for the work he does, or any projects he is involved with .  Start with only ONE project or job . Ask yourself, "what is my goal in doing this? Will it benefit mankind? Will it harm anyone in the process?"  If you are a G-d fearing person , maybe ask yourself " Would G-d approve ? " . It is time to take responsibility for our actions as human beings .

There has been a growing trend in television programs and the general thinking of the public, to consider life on other planets , incase they  have ruined this one ! I  believe that our planet still does and ALWAYS WILL have hope ! There are still many health enthusiasts who understand the connection between our personal health , individual mindsets , and the earth's condition . They will
continue to stand strong and act upon their G-d given rights to a healthy earth ! I for one am not interested in other planets and am not willing to give up on our incredible earth !

Fit for Fashion

Fit For Fashion : While being healthy is an excellent reason to get fit ,  fashion is also a  great motivator ! There are worlds of fashion out there just waiting for you to try all the different styles ! When you are fit , you can wear just about anything and still look good! Fitness isn't simply a matter of being slim , but rather ,  a fit person also has a healthy complexion , rosy skin , bright eyes and shiny hair. These attributes also contribute to looking great in your clothes ! Fitness means that you are getting all your necessary vitamins, minerals and amino acids. It also means that you are getting the right amounts of exercise, sunlight , and sleep ! When you have covered all the aforementioned bases , then you will be truly fit ! 

Let's begin with the rosy cheeks and clear complexion. Why does fitness affect our skin this way? Well, if you are getting a fair amount of exercise ( a half hour to two hours a day ) the blood then has an easier time circulating and carrying that wonderful oxygen to all the internal organs and of course to the largest organ of all : your skin ! This hastens the entire body's cleaning system and it clears away dead skin cells faster and removes any other  toxins from your system, leaving your skin clear and cheeks glowing with health! 

You may be wondering at this point, what is the correct amount of exercise. There is no " correct " amount . To each his own. This means that you need to determine how much exercise , and at what speeds, feel good to you. Try fifteen minutes twice a day. If that does not feel like enough, then you have the option to go for a half an hour. Some people don't feel good till they have done two hours every day, but it is not recommended for everyone. Two hours is not healthy for a beginner ! 

Getting enough sunlight :  People often drive to all their destinations. This makes it difficult , if not impossible to get  sunlight every day.  Centuries ago , people naturally spent more time outdoors, because farming was a way of life ! If you are not a farmer today , and your career doesn't take you outdoors , then you might have to make time BEFORE work everyday, say at 6:30 A.M. to take a half hour walk. If you make your own hours or your job takes you outdoors ,(  as a neighborhood delivery person , for example ) that would give you more of an opportunity to get your daily outdoor time . Getting enough sunlight actually leads us to the next topic of health necessity...having a full 6 to 8 hours of sleep each night .

Getting enough sleep : What's the connection ? Simply , if someone has not gotten enough outdoor time during his/her day, that person may very well find themself unable to sleep well , that same night. The brain depends on enough outdoor time in order to be able to sleep at night. The entire system depends on enough exercise for ease of sleeping at the end of your day. Additionally , without filling your nutritional needs , a person gets tense , wired or stressed and that also prevents the neccessary relaxed state that sleeping requires. If you leave out ANY of these requirements for fitness, you may find that it throws off your health balance . You can be eating the right foods , but without the outdoor time...you may still develope headaches and/or problems sleeping . Man ( or woman) was not meant to live indoors 24/7 . My example goes way back in history to the first man and woman : Adam and Eve , who were constantly out and about ! Certainly they did not hide away inside a house, factory , or office  all day!

 Your fitness begins with you ! Fitness depends on you deciding that you will make time for the outdoors , sunshine, exercise, and eating right , every single day ! Sarah's Fitness & Fashion is all about helping you sort out , your own path to fitness and looking good !
